About Darkroom Malta

Darkroom Malta is a one-man adventure.

I started high quality film processing for the public in 2016 from my small, but fully equipped darkroom in an apartment in the middle of Valletta.  All the photography and film processing experience and knowledge I have gained over many years ensures my customers receive the best quality, and honest advice on anything photography related.

Photography has been part of my life since the very begging as my grand father was a collector and my father regularly used his Pentax Spotmatic kit to photography our family. This camera kit still works and is a treasured item in my analogue photography collection.

My world revolves around photography, including my full time job with Canon Malta.

I love the old school approach of taking the time to look for and capture ignored bits and pieces of every day life, but it is in the darkroom, with the red lights and back ground music, where I can detach from this stressful life to immerse myself in the analogue process.
